Angela Dima is a young painter, born in San Pietro Vernotico, in the province of Brindisi, on June 13, 1987. From an early age, she showed a strong passion for drawing and art, which led her to pursue a specialized course of study in Lecce, first at the Artistic High School (2001\u20132006) and later at the Academy of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n

She has been on the art scene since 2012.<\/p>\n

In recent years, she has deepened her studies internationally: in Spain, attending the painting workshops of Spanish artist Eloy Morales (2014\u20132015\u20132016\u20132017); and in New York, at the life drawing school \"The Art Students League of NY\" (April\u2013June 2016 and November 2017). In May 2017, she ranked among the 20 finalists of the \u201cPremio Trofeo Citt\u00e0 di Lecce\u201d art competition, and in September 2017, she reached the podium among the awarded artists.<\/p>\n

She carries out a profound and highly personal research that spans various themes and artistic expressions. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, art showcases, and public events, where she has also received awards and recognitions, including: first place in two consecutive editions of the \"Fior di Barocco\" competition in Lecce (2004 and 2006); winner of a special prize at the \"SaturArte \u2013 National Contemporary Art Competition\" in Genoa (2014); and first place in the painting competition \"Trofeo Citt\u00e0 di Lecce\" (2019).<\/p>\n

Her main works were exhibited in a solo show at the ARCA Art Gallery in Lecce (June 2021).<\/p>\n

At an international level, she has received important recognition by participating in the group exhibition \"The MEAM Hall\" in Barcelona (February\u2013September 2022) and, more recently, in the \"Women Artists Exhibition\" at Dacia Gallery in New York (2024).<\/p>\n

She defines herself as a lover of \"realism\u2013painterly photorealism,\" drawing inspiration mainly from portraits, unknown faces, intriguing gazes, and details of everyday life scenes, which she reproduces on canvas:\u00a0<\/p>\n
